Hello I’m Granger Forson
www.bizsmart-gloucestershire.co.uk or find me on LinkedIn.
This time on ScaleUp Radio I speak with Pete Eastwood, joint owner of The Boys Who Sew.
The Boys Who Sew manufacture high end Curtains & Blinds for interior design studios and their clients. They are based in Gloucestershire. Pete and his partner originally had a retail business serving many different decorating markets that failed and it was during their reflection of what next, realised their Hedgehog and focused in on making curtains.
What is interesting is the pandemic was the key change for their business. It forced them to downsize and find their ideal clients rapidly or their new business would have closed before they had got going.
As always, we cover a lot of ground, including:
- A growing business is a balancing act and so understanding this is key.
- Focusing on what you are good at will help you find your ideal clients.
- Customer experience is so important, focus on it right from the start and all the time.
- Always discuss the downside of any decision as well the upside so you understand it all before making a decision on growth.
What I love about Pete’s story is his learning attitude. As the business is now 8 staff and growing, he has had to become a Growth expert, guiding the business as it moves forward.
I know that you’ll get something out of this episode.
