Ania Naughton was living the life in Sydney, Australia. She had a successful career in graphic design & marketing, working with some of the biggest brands in the world - but, unlike many of our other guests who have come to the realisation that they can do the job better than the company their working for so go out on their own’ Ania was told this by a former boss!
So - she returned to the UK in 2009 and Magic Tractor was born. If you’d like to hear the reason behind the name, go and listen to the Core Ideology Panel episode - Ania explains it all there.
In this episode of ScaleUp Radio, we talk to Ania about her business and scale up journey, as well as some of the challenges and lessons learned along the way.
Some of the subjects covered include:
- Why you sometimes need to educate your clients, as you search for that lightbulb moment with them
- Deciding on when it’s the right time to bring someone else on board, and how long can you do everything to do with the business on your own?
- How to find a company to partner with, so you can grow together
- The thrill of bringing your first international customer on board
Listening to Ania it’s clear that she is very enthusiastic about her company and the business that she’s in. You’ll hear from the way that she talks that she has great fun in her workplace - and wants everyone else to do the same.
Plenty to get through, so let’s cross over to Ania for the rest of her story.
