On this week’s episode of ScaleUp Radio, I’m speaking to James Willis who is one of the  directors of Exceptional Thinking, who are a business which, in essence, generates sales leads for other companies.


Now, Exceptional Thinking are not like the numerous emails that you might be receiving, promising more leads than you can probably deal with; they work with their clients to create leads that are suitable for their clients and are tailored for their clients needs.


As you’ll hear, the industry of telemarketing and lead generation is quite a misunderstood one, and it’s interesting to hear James explain how Exceptional Thinking works - and how it defies some of the preconceptions that many people have.


As always, there is a lot of the conversation which apply to all business owners, including:


 - The right time to start recruiting the first - or next - member of staff

 - The importance of a proper Business Rhythm within a company, no matter how large or small the business is

 - The value of focusing down in your business during lean times, rather than trying to cut costs and earn money in as many ways as possible.
